Allianz Cornhill Insurance

Allianz Cornhill is officially recognised as one of the UK ’s largest insurers and is part of the Allianz Group, a highly successful international insurer with a network of insurance companies on almost every continent. Allianz Cornhill changed their name in 2003 to reflect their association with the Allianz Group, having previously been known as Cornhill Insurance. They offer a wide range of insurance services and were named as the General Insurer of the Year 2004-2005 by The British Insurance Awards.

Allianz Cornhill insurance products are only available through brokers or affinity partners. They supply a choice of motor insurance policies including two main types of motor insurance for private customers (within this there is also the choice of fully comprehensive, third party fire and theft or third party only) and one main policy for commercial customers. The commercial insurance package provides cover for individually insured goods carrying vehicles. Of the two private policies, the Horizon policy remains Allianz Cornhill’s flagship motor insurance package but they also offer the Motor Cover policy. Horizon is designed to offer the customer excellent protection whilst remaining competitively priced and Allianz Cornhill describes Motor Cover protection as ‘an established policy providing a wide range of cover’. We recommend that you download the product descriptions of both products from the Allianz Cornhill website and ensure you are clear about exactly what each policy covers you for before making your choice.

Car insurance for the over 50’s and van insurance is only available from Cornhill Direct and not through brokers.
