Link Insurance was founded
in 1972 and was originally set up as a service company for a leading
Lloyds Managing Agency. Since
then the company has grown and established itself in its own right
and is now a respected
UK
insurer which provides policies through intermediaries.
Link Insurance was acquired in September 2003 by the Guardian
Holdings Group and has therefore been brought together with Zenith
Insurance plc. Together
they currently offer 21 different policies, but following the recent
acquisition of Rubicon Insurance Solutions Limited (RISL), Link and
Zenith are embarking on a thorough review of their products and
services. The results
will be available before too long in the form of different insurance
policies and in order to remain competitive these must provide the
client with a good level of service and a price to match.
Currently, the company
offers four main areas of car insurance.
Link Standard targets the mature, 30+ driver and is ideally
suited to the driver and spouse being named on the policy.
There are discounts for certain professions.
Link Ladies targets younger female drivers between the age of
17 and 30 who drive cars in low insurance groups.
There are preferential terms for first time insurers.
Link Jubilee is aimed at more mature drivers who are driving
vehicles that are equipped with modern safety features and the final
package is a commercial package which is available for drivers over
the age of 30. Further
information regarding all of Link Insurance’s policies can easily
be found on their website and it is highly advisable to read this
information before committing to a policy.
